06: Today's Topic on K-2 ZoomKidz

First of all, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms! Today's topic was Solar System for Kids! We started off the meeting by introducing our newest teacher Pushti Dixit! All the members talked about their cool models of the solar system they created and the various materials they used to make them. Furthermore, we explained the new prize system kids can get by participating and the kids were enthusiastic and amused by this idea. As we moved on to the topic, we discussed various planets that exist and the kids answered the background questions we asked. Later, we watched a fun Solar System youtube video that talked about. The kids learned a lot of new information about the different planets and moons that exist there. After we watched the videos, we talked about what they noticed about those videos and the kids gave some very good answers! Following the video, we played some games that helped us learn more about various solar system objects. The first game was a planet-hopping game that gave us quiz-like questions to answer and the second game was to find objects around your house that represented the planet being described by a riddle. We ended our meeting by asking the kids for topics they are interested in doing during future meetings, talking more about the prize system, and answering any further questions.
