Today we learned about video games! We started off by asking the kids what their favorite video games were and why. Minecraft was, by far, the most popular answer we received! We then introduced them to three major video consoles: XBox, PlayStation, and Wii. Along with that, we discussed popular games on each of those consoles. Since we've discussed other game mediums in prior lessons, we asked the kids whether their favorite types were board games, card games, or video games. The kids liked different things about each medium: they enjoy the interactivity of board games, the strategy involved in card games, and the different worlds created by video games. The session was finished off with a difficult trivia quiz about video games which, although was tough to figure out, was a lot of fun to go through!
