Today, we learned about hurricanes. More specifically, we learned about hurricanes form, how the strength of a hurricane is determined, and about a few hurricanes of the past (Katrina, Sandy, Irma, and Ida). An interesting thing we learned is that a Wafflehouse's (an incredibly resilient restaurant in the South) availability is another way of determining the strength of a hurricane, as Wafflehouses rarely ever close in the face of a natural disaster.
