Today's topic was Countries! We started off the meeting by discussing the different countries we've each visited, as well as the ones we'd like to see. Following that, we heard a song naming all 195 countries in the world. We then learned some facts about a few different countries, such as Mexico, Kenya, and Italy (the kids were SHOCKED to hear that Mexico has 68 national languages)! We also watched videos related to each of the countries we learned about, from discovering how brick-oven pizza is made to exploring the Taj Mahal. The lesson was finished off with a quiz where the kids got to determine which country would make an ideal vacation spot for them based on their dessert choices. Overall, everyone had fun learning about what made each country and culture so unique and diverse!
