Today's topic was Fishes! We talked about some type of the fishes we knew and tried to name some, for instance goldfish and clownfish! We then moved on to talking about the general facts about fishes, how they have no limbs and are all different colors and shapes. We then moved on to talk about a few of the different types of fishes. We talked about the clownfish and how they can change genders only after they are born, and how most of their species are kept as pets. We talked about the lion fish and how they're big and can go up to 3 months without eating anything, and can live up to 15 years! Finally, we talked about angelfish, how they can camouflage themselves against the coral reefs to protect themselves, and they can vary from being either 2 inches to 2 feet! After going over the types of fishes, we talked about some interesting facts regarding fishes. We talked about the numerous amount of fish species, and how there is only one fish with lungs, called the lungfish. We then moved onto a quiz, it gave you a type of fish that you might be based on how you answer the questions. After the quiz, we discussed with the students what their favorite type of fish was based on what they learned!
