Today's meeting was about Marine Life! We started off by talking to the kids about what type of marine life they already knew about. Then, we talked about marine biologists. It's so cool that they get to swim and explore the ocean, for their job! We also dove deeper (haha, get it?) into detail about the ocean and its inhabitants. We even discovered that there are 33,000 different discovered species of fish! Everyone was especially shocked to hear that roughly 70% of our earth is made of water (more than half)! We also watched a video about everything that the ocean does for us, as humans, which helped us respect and appreciate it better. After a brief quiz about what we'd learned, we watched videos about under-the-sea animals with so many cool skills, such as abilities to camouflage or eat with tentacles! We finished off with a few personality quizzes about which shark and planet protector we're each most similar to!
