35: Today's Topic on 3-5 ZoomKidz:

In today's session of ZoomKidz, we learned about insects! We started off by talking about the bugs we've had encounters with in the past (most of which were NOT pleasant, but the story-telling was fun, nevertheless). However, there are SO many things that insects help the world with, like how bees create honey and how beetles eat dead or fallen organisms; the latter helps the world because its recycling nutrients back into the world. We also talked about the different shapes, sizes and colors that insects come in, and just how delicate many of their beautiful wings are. It was wonderful to get to see them up close and in action, on video! Finally, the kids took a quiz about which cartoon bug they are most similar to based on their food choices. They enjoyed reminiscing about moments with Jiminy Cricket and Ray the firefly!
