Today we learned about pop culture! We started off with asking the kids what they already knew about pop culture, and they gave us a lot of their ideas! We were then able to narrow it down, a bit, and gave them some examples of different kinds of pop culture and how it affects the world around us. Everyone thought it was really cool that pop culture is something we all have in common! After discussing our favorites forms of media and the different genres they broadcast, we watched a video about how media can positively or negatively impact people's perspectives. We finished off with a quiz about which social media platform would be perfect for each of us!
